I agree with the individual who submitted the posting warning of the dangers of cliff jumping. I am from Philadelphia as well and would be interested in touching base with this person.

Although my injury isn't as severe as the individual who posted - I was still injured.

My friends and I were in Negril for our best friend's wedding last weekend. Saturday night we all headed off the resort to Rick's Cafe. After everyone had jumped and came out just fine, I gained the courage to do so myself. I did not enter the water correctly - I landed in a seated position. I began to have bruising on the back of my legs starting at my knees up to my butt cheeks on both legs within an hour. By the time I went to bed that night, my legs were a solid black and blue. I had to have a Jamaican doctor come to my hotel room because I was flying home the next day and feared getting blood clots from the flight. I ended up getting home okay - but VERY painfully. The next day, I went to my doctor and they sent me right to the ER for treatment. After a day in the ER and much testing, I am resting comfortably (thanks to strong pain killers) at home - I am not released to return to work until next week. No position is comfortable at this point - sitting hurts, standing hurts, everything hurts - I even have muscle tissue damage.

You don't think at the time that something like this can happen, but it can - so just be careful!!!
